Session II

Maybe one of the most difficult things in music is to give a definition about what is ambient music. Many would say, that it is the sense of space, the natural sounds, or even a collection of sounds that can be observed on the background of a synthesis.
Since it is very difficult for me to define ambient music, I decided to describe ambient music through the next sessions, with tracks that belong to the Cage-Eno axis on ambience. Of course most of the sessions include ambient tracks, but in this particular playlist the first track is from Brian Eno and the rest of the tracks have a strong sense of rhythm, contrary to more electroacoustic and concrete musique and guitar drone influences that will have the following sessions. Also, I would like to inform you that most of the tracks are contemporary in order to highlight the major influence of Eno in ambient music. Finally, the next session probably will include ambient music with close resemblance from Eno's work "Music on Airports". So you should be prepared about many field recordings taken from airports.

Once more I hope that you'll enjoy.

Sessions

This month I decided to initiate a series of sessions with tracks that I would like to share with all of you, and hope that you'll really enjoy.
Since this is the first session it is mainly used as as a pilot session, and if it works well I promise that I'll try to be very consistent in the future with more exciting and innovative sessions.
So in the first session I have included mainly ambient and experimental tracks, with field recordings, sound art, and guitar drones which provide you a fragile assemblage, and a rich texture of sounds. I advise you to listen this session at the late hours of night, which will enable you to travel in an imaginary, dreamy soundscape.

Just click on the player which is posted below and you can listen to the series of tracks.
